Your letter of the 26th ultimo has just reached
me. In reply I respectfully beg to inform you that I cannot
get to Dublin as the train service here is suspended. If you
approve of that course, I could forward a certificate from a
local Doctor. Even if trains were running I fear I would not
be able to travel to Dublin as I am suffering from Kidney trouble (ref. Med. His.sheet) and have lost 32 lbs,in weight during the past 3 months. I am 473
years old and have
completed 22 years service.
